'Weight of the child is taken using a 25 Kgs "Salter scale" balance. The weight is recorded to the nearest 0.1 Kg. Before weighing, remember to 'zero" the scale. This is done by hanging the pants (harness) from the scale and adjusting-the pointer to zero. Weigh the child with minimal clothing. Shoes should be removed . Record the weight when the child is hanging freely.. Remember to put a zero in column one if the weight is less than 10 kg.
